If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful way to enjoy the mountains in winter at a leisurely pace, you should consider joining us for a One Day Snowshoe outing. With snowshoes you can move along at a slow pace, often where no one else is, and even venture off trail to explore forests and frozen lakes below snow covered summits of extraordinary beauty, away from the crowds that make up the ski slope scene.

If you have never experienced the tranquility of Colorado’s forests when they are blanketed with snow, you are missing the essence of what Colorado is all about. With a snowshoe tour, you will be amazed at this 'Winter Wonderland' and have a whole new outlook on the Rockies.

You need no experience to strap on a pair of snowshoes and have your guide teach you the basics of this simple mode of winter travel. Within minutes you will feel right at home tromping along behind your guide into a new environment. We have superb trails within an hour and half drive from Denver or Boulder. You can be in a warm hotel room in the early morning, have a daylong adventure exploring incredible scenery, and be back in a big, warm bed with a soft, fluffy pillow by evening.

We offer these tours seven days a week during the months of late November thru mid April. If you are out here for a skiing trip your ski duds will be quite adequate for the day long tours. We rent the boots, snowshoes and poles. We also bring along hot chocolate and some snacks for the day as well as a lunch for you.
